The Painting portion of the stations was pretty fun. Doing a color wheel is good way to learn what colors look good with certain other colors. We had to do the Color wheel before making mini flats and painting them with the different techniques that we saw on a video. it was good to practice painting on mini flats so you could get the technique down before doing big flats for a play or musical.
lighting

in lighting we had to watch a video about light and lighting a stage. I learned a lot about certain lights and light bulbs. spot light light bulbs could explode with the tiniest touch of finger oils. we had to make Gobos wich are things you put into lights to project things onto the wall or stage. mine was supposed to be a Tree but it looked better being called broken glass.
set design

in set design we had to read a play and determine what scenes we would need. we each had to draw out scene ideas. After we got one aproved we started making a miniture model of the stage and set. we designed the principals office. we did marbled flooring that could be moved on and off conviniently and a window on a flat that could be lowered down for the scenes with windows. we did a desk, chairs, and a book shelf. we added details to make it more realstic.

for the last project my group did Props. for props we had to make magic wands or wizard wands. we started off with an LED light and wires. we had to soder them together with metal. we put te wires through a straw and then attached them to the battery and made the light work. we wrapped it in paper and made it abe to be lit up on cue with a button and to finish it off we painted it to make it look more realistic.
